This conference is viewed as one of the two top international events in the field of Performance modelling and performance evaluation of computer systems and networks. It is highly selective with a 27% paper acceptance ratio this year, despite the Coronavirus epidemic, and we had 100% attendance for the accepted papers. We also organised a workshop (not included in the conference proceedings) to present emerging work and future trends of research in this area. 2020 was the 28th in the series of this leading international conference. Submitted papers and accepted papers were from all 5 continents.

The review feedback really wasn't up to the standards of FAST, ATC etc. - 3 reviews totaling 334 words for an accepted paper. Part of this may be due to Easychair vs. HotCRP - it's been a while since I've used Easychair, but IIRC it really doesn't support the same level of peer pressure for high quality reviews.

MASCOTS is a good conference for papers that are related to performance evaluation, modeling and analysis for systems across the board. The papers accepted are from top quality universities across the world and this ensures a wide variety of new ideas being presented at this conference. However, the conference should ensure higher number of reviewers per paper and a much detailed review with the opportunity for the authors to submit a rebuttal.
