The conference is a good mix between academics and industry. It includes an Industry publication book as well as a Springer more academic book. There are other publishing initiatives in top journals too. It is well organized and, overall, worth to attend.

Perfect Combination between Industry and University participants. Very good for discussions on topics with practitioner view as well with the view of research. The workshops provide a perfect souce of knowledge and a fruitful discussion throughout the whole conference.

The conference has 50% leading industry and 50% researchers and allows a university enterprise transfer of knowledge. It also has 3 books (SPRINGER, Wiley, ASQ SQP magazine) and not just one proceedings.

I have been associated with this conference since 1994 (origin Ireland). It has had its ups and downs over the years. Currently its circuit is broadly European (with a recent conference in Ankara, Turkey). The principal focus is on Software Process Improvement. Needless to say coherent terminology is a foundational core platform. Participants come from both industry and academia. Some attendees regularly come from Japan. It is a natural focus for industry: airline, car, medical and other critical technologies.
